Navigation System / GPS

A GPS (Global Position System) is a satellite supported navigation system with rotational position sensing.

It was originally developed for military purposes but you will find that it is used more and more in everyday life for various tasks. Through use of satellite technology the GPS receiver is able to find and determine an accurate position at anytime.

It is also able to pick up on incoming traffic reports in order to avoid traffic jams. This enables the driver to concentrate on the road as they are being guided to the destination of their journey.

GPS navigation systems can also be utilised when cycling or hiking. The complexity of the devices depends on the range of applications and on the price.
